The Creation

The L8Cup is perfection in the form of a cup. After years of adapting and creating the Lotus Flower Cup® came the need for it to start a family, not just a single model of a paper cup with an integrated lid. The L8Cup is the result of years of research combined with knowledge gained in manufacturing thinking and how paper cups are produced.

The L8Cup is faster to produce and consequently cheaper. It closes like an envelope you have certainly used before, or closes in a star shape, like a flower.

The L8Cup was designed to close quickly, in just two steps, to strengthen and streamline processes inside restaurants and cafes.

The idea of the L8Cup is to adapt to any shape of any paper pot or cup. I made it with the idea of reducing the use of plastic lids, just as we revolutionized the market with Só Canudos®, when we replaced plastic straws with biodegradable paper straws, says our creator Douglas Negrisolli.

The L8Cup is a symbol of resilience because it took more than 6 years to complete until mass production. It is a product developed by Douglas Negrisolli in parts in China, in the middle of the 2020 pandemic, and then in Brazil until 2025 when sales began for everyone.
